Congratulations, Dr. Pai! Spelman College biology professor and interim vice provost for faculty Aditi Pai, Ph.D., is part of a team that was recently awarded a $9 million National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to expand its focus on the scholarship of broader impacts while diversifying the research ecosystem.
The grant was awarded to the Center for Advancing Research Impact in Society (ARIS), an NSF center based at the University of Missouri.

Mark your calendars! From August 23 through December 7, 2024, Spelman College Museum of Fine Art presents Ming Smith: Feeling the Future —the first solo exhibition of photographer Ming Smith in Atlanta and at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
This exhibition is a selection of Ming Smith's work from the 1970s to the present and presents photographs that are in conversation with each other across time and space and showcases Smith’s expansive use of lens-based media.

Congratulations, LeKisha! Spelman alumna LeKisha M. Jordan, C'2009, has been named associate vice president for educational outreach and partnerships at the University of District Columbia effective August 12. Previously, she held multiple policy analyst and administrative positions with the North Carolina Governor’s Office.
Following her time at Spelman, Jordan received her master of public
administration degree in education and public policy from the University of Georgia.
