Spelman College students recently won third place in the sixth annual Moguls in the Making entrepreneurial pitch competition, where 50 students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) developed innovative and impactful solutions to address economic mobility challenges in Detroit.

The Spelmanites each received a $5,000 scholarship for their D.O.P.E. Initiative, a mission-driven credit union that aims to provide access to capital for Detroit residents that have been historically underserved by financial institutions.

Mark your calendars! Spelman College COVID-19 Operations, in partnership with the Fulton County Board of Health, will host a Community COVID-19 & Flu Vaccination Drive on Wednesday, October 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Beverly D. Tatum Suites Private Dining Room.

Participants should be sure to bring a state-issued form of ID and their medical insurance cards and are urged to allow up to 30 minutes for the vaccination clinic process.
