The Division of Communications & External Relations recently hosted Spelfluencers: Crafting Your Digital Narrative, celebrating Women's History Month and honoring the impact of Spelmanites in the digital space.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to connect with a panel of alumnae & student influencers including M’Kenzie-Alexandra SiYan Lumas-Harmon, C’2025; Sarah Williams, C’2025; Madison Riles, C’2025; Taylor Mills, C’2026; Gabrielle Adams, C’2027; Naima Eggleston, C’2027; and special guest Nani Edwards, C’2015   while gaining valuable insights and learning best practices when building their brands.

The Steve Fund recently presented Restorative Reflections: Emotional Wellness for the Spelman Community a day of workshops hosted around the campus.

The engaging wellness seminars explored the significance of emotional well-being, mindfulness and self-care in academic and professional settings.

Great work, Spelmanites! Last week, 13 Spelman College students traveled to Washington D.C. for the annual Spelman on the Hill initiative.

Over five days, students met with legislators, explored the nation’s capital and advocated for policies impacting their communities.

Summers are special at Spelman! Spelman College's summer programs are back by popular demand and afford high school students an opportunity to spend several weeks on campus engaged in exciting, rigorous academic offerings.

Each of the College's programs are taught by accomplished faculty members and professional facilitators and offer incoming first-year college students an immersive residential experience, help them gain a sense of independence and allow them to create lasting relationships with peers from across the United States.

Alumnae Highlights

Congratulations, Jaunice! Alumna Jaunice Sills, C'2008, was recently named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Los Angeles for 2025 by Women We Admire.

Jaunice Sills is currently the senior director of DEI Production and Creative Partnerships at NBCUniversal. A long-time advocate of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Sills was honored at the White House in 2016 by First Lady Michelle Obama’s Better Make Room initiative for her accomplishments as a successful HBCU alumna.
