Several Spelman College students earned the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship award in 2024. The global scholarships will allow nine students to travel and study abroad in seven countries: Ghana, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Italy, Morocco, France and Spain.

Register today! The Spelman College community is invited to attend the Psychology of Black Womanhood Symposium on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
This event will celebrate the groundbreaking contributions of the related textbook and provide meaningful research, discussions and advocacy on the experiences of Black women in psychology, while highlighting teaching strategies to promote equity and inclusion in the field.
Three of Spelman's very own — Dr. Natalie Watson Singleton (Psychology), Dr. Leyte Winfield (Chemistry) and Dr. Jaray Mazique (Title IX Office) — are featured speakers.

Apply today! The Spelman Innovation Team is excited to announce the 2025 HBCU Game Jam happening Friday, March 28 - Sunday, March 30, 2025!
The 2025 HBCU Game Jam will host HBCUs from all over the country to compete in teams of four building their own video games to win industry-sponsored prizes.
This will be a 24 hour hackathon, providing the opportunity to introduce students to the game development process, collaborate and network with students and industry mentors.
There will be game development workshops on Friday to prepare students for the competition. Beginners are not only welcome but encouraged! All students are required to speak to a faculty advisor before applying.
Applications are due February 28, 2025, at 5 p.m. EST.

Congratulations, Rayven! Spelman College student Rayven Bryant, C'2025, is the author of "Bring It On, Gran!" which was recently published by Scholastic.
The title character is Bryant’s grandmother, who helped raise and support her until her passing in 2021.
