Spelman College recently hosted Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05), and NASA Deputy Administrator Pam Melroy for a roundtable discussion to address increasing the number of Black women entering the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Spelman College first-year students Morgan and Sanai Hicks and Morehouse College student Tony Hicks Jr. —triplets, who were born premature — all chose to move from Baltimore to Atlanta to attend the neighboring HBCUs and academically thrive in the historic Atlanta University Center (AUC).
Way to go, Spelmanites! English and political science majors Tyler Dorsey, C'2026; Brittany Mahone, C'2025; and Zoee Andrews, C'2026, shined at Duke's Pre-Law Fellows Program.

Alumnae Highlights
Spelman alumna Etteleon Burchall, C'2020, has been selected as the recipient of the 2023 BF&M Post Graduate John Wight Scholarship. The scholarship will support her pursuit of a master of science degree in global health policy at the University of London.
