Start the holiday season with the sounds of the 95th Annual Spelman-Morehouse Christmas Carol Concert.
This year's concert included favorites like the Morehouse College Glee Club’s popular rendition of "Betelehemu" and the Spelman College Glee Club’s "We Are Christmas" and "Glory to God," arranged by Kevin Johnson, DMA, associate professor and Spelman Glee Club director.

Na’Taki Osborne Jelks, Ph.D., C'95, assistant professor in the environmental and health sciences program at Spelman College, is one of six recipients of the third annual Catalyst Award granted by the nonprofit organization Rachel's Network.
As an honoree, she will receive a $10,000 prize; networking opportunities; and public recognition within the environment, philanthropic, and women’s leadership communities.
"We have been honored to get know women at the forefront of the environmental movement through the Catalyst Award," said Rachel’s Network President Fern Shepard. "This year’s awardees and finalists demonstrate that women of color are catalyzing change across our field, from environmental justice and energy equity to marine science and health. Their leadership is transforming our world for the better."

Genora K. Boykins, Esq., C’82, recently became the first woman and first African American elected to serve as chair of the South Texas College of Law Huston Board of Directors.
"I am excited to take on the leadership role as chair of the STCL Houston board as we continue to excel in providing an exceptional legal education to our diverse student body," Boykins said.
A native of Prairie View, Texas, and a magna cum laude graduate of Spelman with a bachelor’s degree in English, Boykins earned a J.D. from STCL Houston.
