Spelman College is proud to announce the expansion of its STEM programming to include a concentration in cosmetic chemistry for chemistry majors, and a minor in cosmetic science for those majoring in other areas. The program, scheduled to be offered in the fall, is the first at a Historically Black College and University.
On February 27, 2024, President Gayle and renowned journalist Charlayne Hunter-Gault took the stage together at the UGA Chapel for a fireside chat for the 2024 Holmes-Hunter Lecture. The two discussed a wide range of topics, including their careers, challenges in higher education and more.

Student Highlights
Congratulations, Finley! Spelman College student Finley Grace Warren, C’2027, has been selected for the 2024 Frederick Douglass-Daniel O’Connell Global Internship program. She will be awarded a full scholarship to participate in an eight-week international internship program experience in Dublin, Ireland, combining academic study and real-world work.
