The countdown is on! Spelman’s faculty and staff look forward to welcoming the Class of 2027 during New Student Orientation (NSO), August 9–14. First-year students and their families will experience a full line-up of NSO events prepared just for them, prior to the welcome back for all returning students. Get ready, Spelmanites! The first day of classes is August 16.

In a recent talk at Harvard Divinity School, Dr. Beverly Guy-Sheftall, founding director of the Women’s Research and Resource Center at Spelman, examined Audre Lorde’s prolific writings in the context of contemporary Black feminist ethics, discourse and activism.

Congratulations, DaNae! DaNae Harrison, C'2025, is one of the 12 scholarship recipients of the Gucci North America Changemakers Scholarship. The fund supports talented and deserving students, who will each receive an academic scholarship of up to $20,000.
