Dear Spelman Community,
We would like to remind you of some steps that you can take to protect our community against respiratory viruses. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) encourages the public to follow universal recommendations.
Please be mindful of these best practices to reduce the spread of respiratory illness:
- Stay home when sick.
- Seek medical care if symptoms persist or worsen.
- Engage in respiratory care by covering up coughs and sneezes.
- You can choose to wear a mask as needed for your self-care.
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.
- Stay up-to-date on vaccination recommendations.
- Testing is optional and can be performed through a health care provider. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services also offers COVID-19 self-test kits that ship for free.
