The countdown is on! Spelman’s faculty and staff look forward to welcoming the Class of 2027 during New Student Orientation (NSO) August 9 – 14. First-year students and their families will experience a full line-up of NSO events prepared just for them, and prior to the welcome back for all returning students. Get ready, Spelmanites! The first day of classes is August 16.
Sharing the Spelman difference: Spelman students Aliyah Webster, C'2024, and Jalyn White, C'2024, shared their perspectives on studying chemistry at Spelman, including the College's culturally inclusive courses, in a recently published opinion piece for Chemistry World. Congratulations, Aliyah and Jalyn!
Important Construction Updates - Construction to install underground pipes for the new Mary Schmidt Campbell, Ph.D.,Center for Innovation & the Arts (CI&A) is expected to continue through Friday, July 28, 2023.
As a result, vehicular traffic entering campus from the Westview Drive Campus Gate will be reduced to one lane and one-way traffic only through the end of the month. All on-campus vehicular traffic will be directed to exit through the Greensferry Avenue Campus Gate. Large service vehicles will be directed to exit campus through the Westview Drive Campus Gate with the assistance from Spelman College Public Safety officers and construction contractors.
Inside Spelman returns in August with a warm welcome to the Class of 2027 and more stories highlighting Spelman's accomplished students, faculty, staff and alumnae.
