Greetings,

As Spelman continues to operate in a remote learning environment, the College has been paying close attention to the impact of COVID-19 on our community, as well as guidance we are receiving from federal, state and local authorities. Based on the latest forecasting, Spelman will be suspending all in-person, on-campus programs for the summer of 2020.

This decision impacts all summer programs - those for high school and current students. While these programs will not be administered in person, many will transition to a virtual format. Applications are open for Spelman's pre-college programs. For summer research programs, current students should connect specifically with the faculty members directing those programs.

Questions and more information about pre-college programs should be directed to Chelsea Holley, director of summer programs and special projects, via 404-270-5279 and chelsea.holley@spelman.edu.

Brandi Taylor, undergraduate research and training programs manager, is available to address questions about summer research programs via 404-270-5782 and brandi.taylor@spelman.edu.

Thank you for continuing to engage with Spelman as we prioritize the safety and wellness of our entire community during this public health crisis.

Regards,

Sharon L. Davies, J.D.
