Spelman Students,
Due to inclement weather expected tomorrow, April 11, 2024, the Spelman College Office of Alumnae of Engagement has adjusted the Founders Day 2024 event schedule to ensure the safety of participants and attendees. Please see arrival and other details below.
New Report Time (Class of 2024): The Class of 2024 is now asked to arrive at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in traditional white attire and academic regalia (blue tassel, no hood, bring the white collar that comes with the robe) in the BDT Suites Dining Hall
New Class Photo Date/Time (Class of 2024): The Class of 2024 will now take its class photo during Class Day on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 1 p.m. in traditional white attire and academic regalia in the Amphitheatre
New Report Time (Class of 2027): First-year students are now asked to arrive at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in traditional white attire in the Manley Dining Hall
Rain Plan Processional: Due to weather
conditions, the rain plan processional route will be enacted on Thursday, April 11, 2024. More details to come.
Founders Day Tips for the Classes of 2024 & 2027
- Black flats are strongly suggested due to wet weather conditions.
- Please bring a small, collapsible umbrella, if possible.
- Please limit personal belongings to a small clutch or wristlet.
- Please pack patience and understanding. There may be wait times indoors as Alumnae Engagement works to limit your time outdoors as much as possible.
