Dear Spelman Community,
In light of rising gas prices, Spelman is taking several measures to provide faculty, students and staff with information and resources to support their transportation needs to and from campus.
Beginning on March 24, 2022, Spelman College will offer discounted MARTA cards to faculty, staff, and students. Community members with a valid Spelman ID can purchase discounted passes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the campus Cashier’s Office, located in Packard Hall.
Through the
University Pass Program discounted monthly MARTA cards are offered to faculty, staff and students. Student passes are $68.50, a savings of about $25 off of the full price of a transit card. The cost for faculty and staff cards is $83.80. Monthly passes are valid between the first day of the month and the end of the month. Passes expire on the last day of each month.
In addition to purchasing a public transportation pass, commuters are encouraged to take advantage of the new
MARTA Reach program and visit the
Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority online for information on local park-and rides, ride shares and other resources.
