Spelman Community, In efforts to ensure that our community remains protected against COVID-19, the College will host a COVID-19 vaccination/booster drive in partnership with Morehouse School of Medicine and CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Beverly D. Tatum (BDT) Suites Cafeteria Hall.
This free, voluntary COVID-19 vaccination drive is open to students, faculty, and staff who are eligible to receive the bivalent COVID-19 booster or who are yet to complete the primary vaccination series.
Why the bivalent booster?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that people ages 12 years and older receive one updated Pfizer or Moderna (bivalent) booster vaccination. This includes people who have received all primary series doses and people who have previously received one or more original (monovalent) boosters. The updated bivalent booster provides broader protection against the most recent
omicron variant. It is available to you if you are eligible and choose to register.
Who is eligible?
You are eligible to receive the bivalent COVID-19 booster if it has been at least two months since you have completed the primary vaccination series or at least two months since you have received the most recent booster with any approved monovalent vaccine.

Please note that pre-registration is NOT required to participate. Vaccination is free and no
appointment is needed. Please be sure to bring your CDC Vaccination Record Card(s).
