You are invited to attend the State of Black Women Symposium, scheduled to take place at Spelman College on September 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in Cosby Auditorium. The Symposium is presented by the Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI) in celebration of their 40th anniversary.

The Symposium will explore crucial topics at the intersection of health, equity, and empowerment. These themes include:

• Health Equity: Delve into the current state of Black women's health, disparities and the path to achieving health equity.
• Political Impact: Examine the role of Black women in politics, from voter engagement to elected leadership.
• Economic Empowerment: Discuss financial literacy, entrepreneurship and career advancement opportunities for Black women.
• Education and Innovation: Explore educational access, STEM fields and innovative solutions to empower Black women and girls.
