Spelman community,
Spelman College has established a new partnership with The Mix Student Residences, 120 Piedmont Ave., NE, Atlanta, GA, 30303.
The College has also ended its sponsored housing partnership with Westmar Student Lofts.
The Mix is located 1.8 miles from Spelman’s Campus and offers numerous amenities to students, including the list below and
more.

The Mix does not provide transportation. Therefore, students will be responsible for their own transportation to and from campus.
Public transportation is available via
Marta’s Peachtree Center and Five Points Train Stations. Spelman offers discounted MARTA cards to faculty, staff, and students to support the cost for public transportation. Community members with a valid Spelman ID can purchase discounted passes on campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.), and from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Cashier’s Office, located in Packard Hall.
The cost for student commuter cards is
$68.50, and faculty and staff cards are $83.80. Monthly passes are valid between the first of the month until the end of the month. Passes expire at the end of each month.
In addition to purchasing a public transportation pass, Spelman commuters are encouraged to take advantage of the new MARTA Reach program and visit the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority online for information on local park-and rides, ride shares and other resources.
Spelman College’s Housing Office will reach out to students who are signed up for Westmar to provide next steps in the transition to The Mix.
