Spelman Community,
You are invited to a special Convocation with Spelman President Helene Gayle and ESSENCE Ventures President & CEO Caroline Wanga tomorrow, November 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Sisters Chapel. The Convocation will bring together two cultural iconic brands for Black women for a fireside chat on empowering opportunities for Black women.
Essence Ventures is a portfolio of brands that
activates globally connected, frictionless and boundaryless, cultural health and wealth across the Diaspora through impact in the areas of professional development, health equity, community celebration, entrepreneurship, and advocacy, on all platforms. It includes a portfolio of brands inclusive of Essence Communications Inc., Afropunk, Beautycon and Essence Studios.
In-person attendance at the Convocation is required for first and second-year Spelman students. Third-and fourth-year Spelman students, faculty and staff are also welcome to attend in
person.
Attendees outside of Spelman’s campus can register here via Zoom to virtually join the live broadcast.
