Join the Spelman and Morehouse College Glee Clubs this week for the presentation of the 97th Annual Christmas Carol Concert series. This spirited event has been a cherished holiday tradition in the Atlanta community.
Each performance is free and open to the public. In addition to the weekend concerts, Spelman will also host "A Taste of Christmas" – a one-hour sampling of favorites from the 97th Annual Spelman and Morehouse Christmas Carol Concert – tomorrow, November 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Sisters Chapel.
This event is scheduled to highlight the history of the Annual Christmas Carol Concert, the Glee Clubs, music selections and more. It will also feature a short Q&A, giving the audience the opportunity to gain insight from the conductors and student performers.
Spelman will host the "Christmas Carol Concert" performance this Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. in Sisters Chapel. Traditionally marking the official start of the Christmas season for Atlanta residents, the Glee Clubs will perform featuring traditional carols and contemporary-style interpretations of various holiday music.
The event is free and open to the public. While no ticket is required to
attend, participants will need to receive a wristband from Upton Tent upon arrival to campus. Upton Tent is located near the front of Spelman’s campus, adjacent to the Camille Olivia Hanks Cosby, Ed.D., Academic Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The first 500 guests will be seated in Sisters Chapel. Remaining guests will be seated in our overflow areas – the Camille Olivia Hanks Cosby, Ed.D. Academic Center Auditorium and the Albro-Falconer-Manley Science Center NASA Auditorium. No reservations will be accommodated for the performance in Sisters Chapel.
Complimentary parking will be available in the Spelman College West Parking Deck on Saturday. Please note parking is limited. It is advised to arrive on time or early.
