Dear students and families,

Happy New Year! We hope that you have had a restful and safe holiday season.

We write to you today, in light of changes to the return to campus date, to provide an update regarding charges for housing and dining services supported by the College’s regular meal plan.

Per the Spring 2022 Housing Lease, the College will pro-rate the amount due for housing (room) and meal plans (board) to exclude the period in which there will be no College housing and/or dining services offered for the spring semester.

The pro-rated amount accounts for the period beginning Saturday, Jan. 8 (the original date residential halls opened) through Monday, Jan. 24 (new residential hall opening date). The savings that you will experience range between $1,000 -$1,200 (dependent upon your housing assignment).

If you have already paid your spring semester tuition and the pro-ration results in a credit balance, you will receive a refund beginning the week of February 4, 2022 (the originally planned date that refunds will be issued).

Although this savings comes due to the unfortunate surge in COVID-19 cases nationwide, it may provide an excellent opportunity to set aside funds to cover any additional educational expenses for this year or the next.

As always, we extend our thanks to each of you for your patience, understanding and flexibility.

We are looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks, until then, stay safe!

Best regards,
