Spelman Community,

As we approach the final stretch of the spring semester, please take notice of these important dates and COVID-19 health information.

April 15: Testing sites on campus are closed for Good Friday Holiday.

April 20: Booster Vaccination Drive from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
in Beverly D. Tatum (BDT) Suites Hall.

This vaccination drive is open to students, faculty, and staff who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster vaccination or need to complete the vaccination series. You are eligible to get a booster vaccination of Pfizer or Moderna at least five (5) months after completing the vaccination series.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now recommends that adults ages 50 years and older receive a second booster four (4) months after receiving the first booster dose. This second booster is not required. It is available to you if you are eligible and choose to get one.

Vaccinations will be administered by Morehouse School of Medicine and Spelman medical professionals. No appointment is needed. Please be sure to bring your CDC vaccination record cards.

Ahead of the vaccination drive, please complete this
Brief Vaccination Interest Survey
to inform us of your intended participation.

April 26: Last day of spring semester rapid testing

April 27: Last day of spring semester random PCR testing

Beginning in May, we will make available rapid antigen at-home test kits to staff who continue to work on campus during the summer. Specific details will be shared soon.

A huge thank you to each of you for all your efforts in keeping our community safe. You have done a spectacular job.

Kind Regards,

Yemi Brown, PharmD
