Greetings and Happy New Year!

We hope that everyone enjoyed a joyous and restful holiday. Due to the high transmissibility of the COVID-19 omicron variant and the rapid increase in positivity rates nationwide we are taking strong measures to protect you and the entire campus community.

To accommodate the necessity of faculty or staff to gain access to campus before Monday, Jan. 24, we will offer an opportunity for individuals to retrieve items from their offices.

This “pop-in” window will allow you to make a quick visit to campus to obtain any items you need to assist in pivoting to virtual learning and/or work from your remote location until full access to the campus is restored.

The “pop-in” dates will be Friday, Jan. 7, Monday, Jan. 10 and Tuesday, Jan. 11, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

These are the only days and times available for this entry to campus before Monday, Jan. 24. You must schedule this visit by using the link below. You will be required to take a rapid COVID-19 test when you arrive on campus.

Pop-in for faculty and staff

Upon arrival at the campus gate, you are required to sign in with Public Safety and proceed to the Beverly Tatum Suites Private Dining Room where you will take a rapid COVID-19 test.

You must wait at the testing site until you receive your result. If your result is negative, you may then proceed to your destination. If your test result is positive, you will be required to leave the campus immediately. There will be no exceptions made should you test positive upon your arrival to campus.

You will be limited to a total of 60 minutes for your visit: 15 minutes to complete the required rapid test, and then 45 minutes to grab what you need from your office and leave campus. You must test, grab and go!

In addition, you will also receive an e-mail providing instructions for the pre-arrival PCR testing that is required for all faculty, staff and students to return to campus on Monday, Jan. 24. Classes are scheduled to resume on Monday, Jan. 31.

We are taking these mitigating measures to protect you. We thank you for compliance, patience and understanding as we work to keep our campus safe.

Sincerely,
