Greetings Spelman community,

We are in the middle of an interesting shift.

Although the value of attending historically Black colleges and universities has been evident in our communities for more than a century, the recent success of several high-profile leaders has pushed Spelman, and other institutions that serve African American students, into the national spotlight.

In an article published on Fortune.com, Najoh Tita-Reid, C'94, an executive for Logitech in Switzerland; political activist Stacey Abrams, C'95 and Rosalind Gates Brewer, C'84, CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc., and Spelman Board of Trustees Chair, are acknowledged for being among a growing group of HBCU graduates who are breaking new ground in their professional fields and changing the face of business and political leadership.

Enjoy!
