Greetings Spelman community,

I am pleased to congratulate the distinguished group of leaders who have been elected by their peers to serve on the Spelman Student Government Association.
Our Spelman Student Government leaders play a vital role in the life of the college and I am delighted to welcome each elected student officer to her new role.

Congratulations to all of the successful candidates!

Jillian Jackson, C’2022, who previously served as secretary of student affairs, will lead the 80th administration as the newly elected president, and Grace Hall, C’2022, former first year liaison, will lead as vice president.

Others elected to the 2021-2022 administration include Alannah Taylor, C’2023, secretary of student affairs; Julianne Borges Gordon, C’2023, secretary of institutional research planning and effectiveness; Monique Vaz, C’2023, secretary of enrollment management; Devan Stoeling, C’2023, secretary of institutional advancement; and Mikayla Sharrieff, C’2023, secretary of Spelman technology.

We are grateful to all who voted. I am looking forward to working with this new talented group of students as they develop proposals, programs, activities and resolutions that reflect the tenor of student opinion.

Please join me in congratulating these newly elected leaders for their dedicated advocacy. They’ve done a phenomenal job engaging the community and beyond in the electoral process.
